Venatu US is a recruitment business that provides work-finding services to clients and work-seekers across the United States, with principal operations in Atlanta, Georgia. In delivering these services, Venatu US collects and processes personal data and acts as a data controller
You may provide your personal details to us directly by email, telephone, in person, or via our website or we may collect them from a third-party source such as a job board. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, and sets out your rights in relation to that data.

Venatu US collects and processes your personal data for the purpose of providing you with work-finding services. The legal bases on which we rely include:
  • Consent where you have given us clear consent to process your data for a specific purpose
  • Legitimate interests where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests in operating a recruitment agency, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Contractual obligation where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract
  • Legal obligation where we are required to process your data to comply with applicable law

Venatu US may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact details: email address, telephone number
  • Employment and career data: CV/resume, work history, qualifications, skills, references

  •  Any other information you voluntarily provide to assist with work-finding activity
 
c. Legitimate Interests
Where Venatu US relies on legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing, those interests are: placing candidates into employment and introducing clients to suitable work-seekers.
 
d. Recipients of Data
Venatu US may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients:
  •  Client organisations to whom we are introducing you as a candidate
  • Third-party technology providers supporting our recruitment operations (including applicant tracking systems and job board platforms)
  • Professional advisers and regulatory bodies where required by law

e. Statutory and Contractual Requirements
In some circumstances, providing your personal data is a contractual or legal requirement. If you do not provide the required data, Venatu US may be unable to provide work-finding services or introduce you to clients.
 
2. Data Retention
Venatu US will retain your personal data for a period of 5 years from the date of last contact or the date on which we last provided you with work-finding services, whichever is later. Different data types may be retained for shorter or longer periods where required by applicable federal or state law.
Where we hold your data on the basis of your consent, we will seek to renew that consent prior to the expiry of the applicable retention period. Where consent is not renewed, we will cease processing your personal data.
3. Data Security and Breach Notification
Venatu US takes reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
In the event of a data breach involving unencrypted personal information, Venatu US will comply with its obligations under the Georgia Personal Identity Protection Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912), which requires notification to affected Georgia residents as expeditiously as possible and without unreasonable delay. Where a breach affects more than 10,000 Georgia residents, we will also notify all nationwide consumer reporting agencies without unreasonable delay.
If a law enforcement agency determines that notification would compromise a criminal investigation, notification may be delayed until law enforcement confirms it is appropriate to proceed.

Depending on applicable federal and state law, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
